The University of Sousse

Created by Law No. 86-80 of August 9, 1986, the University of Monastir took its new name under Decree No. 91-1999 of December 31, 1991 to become the University of the Center providing scientific and educational supervision. on establishments in the governorates of Sousse, Monastir, Kairouan and Mahdia. For the academic year 1987-1988 a little more than 6000 students were registered and spread over 13 institutions

The University of the Center has seen its numbers grow considerably from year to year, thus bringing together 45,000 students in 2000-2001 and nearly 60,000 in 30 establishments. On the occasion of the celebration of Knowledge Day (July 16, 2004), the University of the Center was split into 3 and received a new name "University of Sousse", by virtue of decree n ° 2115-2004 of 02 September 2004.

The University of Sousse provides a range of academic and professional training in basic sciences, legal, economic and management, technical, agronomic, medical, paramedical, arts and crafts, letters and human sciences.

The Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology of Sousse (المعهد العالي للعلوم التطبيقية والتكنولوجيا بسوسة) or ISSATS is a scientific establishment under the University of Sousse (Tunisia) It was created pursuant to the provisions of ecree no. 1385-2001 of June 7, 2001.

National Metrology Agency (ANM)

The National Metrology Agencyfederates all the components of metrology (legal metrology, scientific metrology and industrial metrology), and has the following missions as prerogatives:
  • Implementation of the strategic orientations for the development of the national metrology policy,
  • Coordination of the activities of the various ministerial departments in the field of metrology,
  • Representation of Tunisia in international and regional organizations active in the field of metrology, participation in their technical work, and management of cooperation programs with these organizations,
  • Carrying out training and technical assistance activities in the field of metrology, and participating in the development of national training programs in this field, with the aim of helping educational establishments and training centers,
  • Technological watch in the field of metrology,
  • Establishment of standards and technical guides relating to metrology and their publication in coordination with the National Institute for Standardization and Industrial Property,
  • Dissemination of information and promotion of research in the field of metrology,
  • Definition of the requirements necessary for the establishment and the realization of the national standards which make it possible to reproduce the units of measurements of the international system of units "SI" which can be materialized,

  • Study of the approval files of the bodies responsible for legal metrological control operations on measuring instruments, their repairs and installations, as well as the monitoring of the activities of the approved bodies,

The National Accreditation Council (TUNAC)

The TUNAC National Accreditation Council is a non-administrative public institution with moral and financial autonomy. TUNAC's mission is to certify the competence and impartiality of conformity assessment bodies. This mission is carried out in accordance with national regulations and international standards.

In this context, TUNAC is responsible for:

  • Ensure the application of the national accreditation system;
  • Grant, suspend or withdraw accreditation from conformity assessment bodies (testing and analysis laboratories, calibration laboratories, certification bodies and inspection bodies);
  • Organize and monitor assessment operations, train assessors and retrain them periodically in accordance with national and international standards in force in the field of accreditation and conformity assessment;
  • Participate in the promotion of the quality of services provided by conformity assessment bodies, in accordance with national and international rules organizing this activity;
  • Encourage the exchange of experiences between the various accredited bodies;
  • Promote mutual recognition between conformity assessment bodies operating in Tunisia and their foreign counterparts and work towards the conclusion of agreements to this effect through accreditation;
  • Represent the Republic of Tunisia at international meetings relating to the activity of TUNAC and with similar foreign and international organizations and cooperate with them;
  • Disseminate all information relating to analysis, testing, calibration, certification and control activities;
  • Support the organization of intercomparison campaigns between conformity assessment bodies, particularly in the areas of analysis, testing, metrology and control.

Laboratoire CK Métrologie 

 

CK Métrologie is a public limited company (S.A.) with a capital of 500,000 TND and was created with the assistance of BFPME (Finance Bank for Small and Medium Enterprises) and BIAT (Banque Internationale Arabe de Tunisie) in July 2006.

Areas of intervention :

Consisting of a team whose know-how has been consolidated by an experience of more than ten years in the field of metrology, it began to provide services to Tunisian industrialists in September 2007.

CK Métrologie operates in several fields (petroleum, pharmaceuticals, textiles, civil engineering and technical control, electricity and electronics, automotive, food-processing, aeronautics, hotel sector, hospitals, clinics, etc.)

Infrastructure:

CK Metrology is made up of four laboratories designed to control the parameters that can affect the results (temperature, humidity, etc.).
The building was designed in line with the standards in force so as to ensure thermal, sound, vibration insulation, etc.

For on-site services, the stakeholders take the necessary steps to ensure that the controls carried out are adapted to the needs of the customers while being in accordance with the international standard NF EN ISO/CEI 17025.

The Central Laboratory for Analysis and Testing (LCAE)

The Central Analysis and Testing Laboratory is a Non-Administrative Public Establishment (EPNA) created by Law No. 88-24 of April 14, 1988. It is placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy.

To carry out its missions of quality control and product safety, and the fight against fraudulent practices, the LCAE relies on a network of 50 laboratories divided into centers in TUNIS, accompanied by a regional presence in Sousse, Sfax and Gabes. Its role is to respond to requests for analysis and expertise sent by administrations and economic operators.
