The MICQ master's project

out

The project deals with the creation and implementation of a new master's degree with a co-constructed course in "Industrial Metrology and Quality Control", abbreviated as MICQ master's degree. The profession targeted by the co-constructed course is “Metrologist Manager”.

The objectives of the co-constructed Masters are: (i) to train operational students for the industry, (ii) to develop advanced technical skills in the field of metrology and quality control, (iii) to train in accordance with international standards.

A key component in co-construction is the involvement of the manufacturer in the project from its opportunity phase to its evaluation with the aim of continuous improvement, passing through the design, authorization and implementation phase.

Having detected a significant need for skills in the field of metrology, we submitted a file to request co-construction PAQ funding from the Ministry of Higher Education for the preparation of a new co-constructed course. PAQ Co-Construction funding (preparation phase) was granted to us.

In order to design our project in a co-constructed way; we have organized work and study meetings to formulate the need for skills required by the various industrial partners (representative of the regional and industrial fabric). This has allowed us to converge on a training reference system that meets the needs of the job market in the Metrology and Quality Control sector.

Our project has found a very favorable response from players in the sector and manufacturers. Agreements have been signed with some, work meetings with others to clarify work-study teaching, letters of support and approval have made it possible to expand the panoply of our partners:

-           Epi d’OR

-           Centre de Métrologie, d’Essais et d’Expertise CM2E

-           STIP

-           Vege Moteur

-           Plasti-Ka

-           Tunisia Development Systems TDS

This industrial partnership will be consolidated over the years. The alternation of teaching between a higher education institution and on the ground in industry is a key component of the MICQ master's degree.

With a strategic objective to set up a center of excellence in the central region of Tunisia to train operational graduates in Industrial Metrology and Quality Control. Three public higher education establishments have come together to offer Masters training in Triple-diploma between them and in co-construction with various industrial partners:

- The Higher Institute of Technological Studies of Sousse (ISET Sousse)

- The Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology of Sousse (ISSAT Sousse)

- The National School of Engineers of Sousse (ENISo)
